Data Model Configuration
The Data Model Configuration tool lets you map data models between Central Points—ensuring your Excel workbook uses the correct source models.
When to use Data Model Configuration
- Sharing workbooks across environments: Map references to the correct data models when the workbook is used in different Central Points.
Dialog Overview
The window is divided into two panels:
| Panel | Description |
|---|---|
| Workbook's Configuration (left) | Shows data models currently used in your workbook. These include models originating from features like Data Extraction, Pivot Table, or References Configuration. |
| Available data models (right) | Lists all published data models from Web Server in the connected Central Point. |
Configure Data Model
- In Excel, go to the Add-ins tab and click on Data Model Configurations.
- Click a data model from the Workbook's Configuration section (left) and the matching data model in the Available data models section (right) to map them.
The ones that are already mapped, it will show as selected. - Click Save to apply the mapping and confirm when prompted.
- Click Close once done.
