Link to Formula

The Link To Formula tool, available in the Add‑ins tab, lets you create dynamic hyperlinks in Excel using the Application Links configured on the Web Server.

These links can reference cell values as parameters, allowing you to open ERP records, dashboards, or external reports directly from Excel. This tool generates a NecLink formula in your specified cell using the correct parameters.

  • Opening a specific ERP page: Link to a customer, invoice, or order using a value from your sheet.
  • Launching reports or dashboards: Trigger links with pre-filtered parameters.
  • Adding dynamic links in Excel: Create hyperlinks that update based on cell values.
  • Accessing external systems: Open web pages, search engines, or custom URLs.
  • Streamlining navigation: Reduce the number of manual steps between Excel and external systems.
  1. In Excel, go to the Add‑ins tab and select Link To Formula.
  2. In the dialog, select the desired Application Link from the Link To dropdowm menu.
  3. Based on the selected Application Link, define the required parameters. Enter them manually or reference values from cells.
  4. Select OK. The NecLink formula is inserted into the selected cell.
When clicked, the formula opens the target page in your browser using the configured parameters.
