The Email feature allows you to export a visualization and send it by email in a selected format. Before generating your visualization, make sure the appropriate page setup has been configured to ensure the optimal display in the exported file. It is for one-time use—none of the content is saved after the email is sent.
This feature is available for Views, Dashboards, and Reports.
When to use Email
- Sending reports to external recipients: Use when managers, executives, or clients (partners, vendors, or customers) need access to a visualization without direct access to the Web Server.
- Collaborating with team members: Share visualizations with colleagues to discuss data insights.
- Saving reports for record-keeping: Keep a copy of the visualization in your email for future reference.
- Providing quick updates: Send the latest version of a visualization without requiring recipients to generate it themselves.
