GL Summary Refresh Cube

The GL Summary data model provides high-level, summarized, and performance-optimized financial data for fast dashboards and management reporting. Because this data is not updated in real-time, the GL Summary Refresh cube must be regularly built and loaded to ensure your reports and analytics reflect the latest data.

Benefits of refreshing the GL Summary cube​

  • Improving reporting accuracy: Ensure dashboards and summary reports always reflect the latest available financial data.
  • Optimizing performance: Provide high-level analysis with fast-loading, pre-aggregated data rather than live transactional queries.

Build the cube​

  1. In the navigation panel, click the gear icon to open the Administration section.
  2. On the left panel, click OLAP Manager. This opens the OLAP Manager in a new window.
  3. In the Options panel on the right, select the Manage icon.
  4. Select the GL Summary Refresh cube.
  5. In the Manage dialog, select Build from the Actions dropdown list.
  6. Select the environment.
  7. Click Confirm.
  8. In the confirmation dialog, select the I confirm that I understand all my current cube data will be lost and click Yes.

Load the cube​

  1. In the Options panel on the right, select the Manage icon again.
  2. Select the GL Summary Refresh cube.
  3. In the Manage dialog, select Load All from the Actions dropdown list.
  4. Select the environment.
  5. Click Confirm.
  6. In the confirmation dialog, select the option and click Yes.
  7. Close the OLAP Manager window when complete.
