Send Comment

The Send Comment feature allows you to capture a snapshot of your current visualization to share feedback or observations. You can annotate the screenshot with text, shapes, or markers before sending it via email or downloading it as an image.

This feature is available for Views, Dashboards, and Reports.

When to use Send Comment

• Providing feedback on visualizations: Give feedback, ask questions, or share suggestions related to the visualization.
• Clarifying specific details: Highlight or inquire about specific elements of the visualization.
• Collaborating with team members: Communicate with others to collaborate or resolve visualization-related issues.
• Requesting modifications: Request changes or improvements without directly altering the content of the visualization.
• Facilitating communication: Share observations or thoughts without impacting the data or layout.

Send Comment about a Visualization

Within the Send Comment dialog, you can either email the visualization with annotations as an attachment or download the annotated image directly.

Send comments by email

1. Locate the visualization you want to comment on.
2. Double-click it or select Open from the context menu.
3. Click the Sharing icon in the Toolbar panel on the right. It expands to show the submenu options.
4. Select Send Comment from the menu.
5. In the dialog, use the text tool, markers, or shapes to annotate and highlight areas of the screenshot you want to emphasize.
6. Click Send Email to open the email dialog. Fill in the recipients' addresses, subject line, and message.
7. Click Send to email the annotated screenshot, or Reset to clear entered information.

Download commented visualization

1. Locate the visualization you want to comment on.
2. Double-click it or select Open from the context menu.
3. Click the Sharing icon in the Toolbar panel on the right. It expands to show the submenu options.
4. Select Send Comment from the menu.
5. In the dialog, use the text tool, markers, or shapes to annotate the screenshot and highlight areas you want to emphasize.
6. Click Download to save the annotated screenshot as an image.

Properties to edit screenshots

Property	Description
Select	Selects elements (shapes, text, marker drawings) created on the screenshot to move or delete them.
Marker	Draws freehand on the screenshot to highlight specific areas. Adjust the thickness or color.
Text	Adds a text box for uniform typed text. Customize the font size or color.
Shapes	Inserts various shapes to highlight areas of interest. Customize the color. Available shapes include: Line, Circle, Rectangle, Rounded Rectangle, Outlined arrow, Arrow, Double Arrow, Triangle, Star, Pentagon, and Hexagon.
Eraser	Removes any elements (marker drawings, text, or shapes) created on the screenshot.
