System Requirements

Before installing SEI, ensure your environment meets the requirements described on this page. Setting up a compatible operating system, database, and web infrastructure is essential for a successful installation and optimal performance. This section provides details about supported platforms, web server roles and features, and other prerequisites that may require your attention before you begin.

IIS roles and features​

Required IIS roles and framework features depend on your Windows Server version. The SEI Server installer will detect and install these roles and features automatically for the main server. For certain components, such as add-ons, some Windows features may need to be installed manually.

.NET Framework features by Windows Server version​

The required .NET Framework version depends on your Windows Server version. The installer will add these features automatically where possible. If you're preparing your environment manually, confirm that the corresponding framework and the following roles/features are enabled:

These IIS features must be installed manually:

  • IIS Metabase and IIS 6 configuration compatibility
    (located under Web Management Tools in Windows Features)

If you cannot restart your server during installation, make sure to manually install all required frameworks and libraries before running the setup.
